Cabinet Maker/Bench Joiner

Charlotte James Furniture seeks a cabinet maker/fitter. A passion for furniture making and manufacture is essential.

Individuals must have have a passion for furniture making and manufacture, alongside relevant experience in cabinet making to the highest level of craftmanship. Fitting experience is desirable but not essential.

Requirements of the role:

  • Motivated and hardworking
  • Excellent attention to detail and take pride in work produced
  • A good team-player but with the ability to work independently
  • Honest and reliable
  • Willing to take on responsibility as role progresses
  • Able to work to deadlines whilst maintaining the highest quality of work
  • Professional in your conduct
  • Considerate and polite to customers

Upholsterer

Charlotte James Furniture require an experienced, productive and adaptable upholsterer with an aptitude for quality workmanship. Minimum 10 years of experience, experienced with specific skills in modern and traditional upholstery and experience of reupholstering modern, antique and period furniture.

Requirements of the role:

  • Being able to plan and make templates for cutting and sewing, experience of box cushions and components
  • Understanding technical job specifications
  • Ensuring high quality control standards are maintained
